Dear Pastor,
My boyfriend got me pregnant on purpose because he wanted to get his papers. He's illegal in this country and has been living here for three years. I didn't know he was illegal and much younger than I. He basically lied to be with me because I'm a citizen. It was after we moved in together that all these problems came out.
Pastor, I don't know what to do. I gave up everything to be with him and this is what I got in return. He treats me like garbage and hardly pays any attention to our child. He went to church with me in the beginning to make me feel as if what we had was real. I feel like such a fool.

This guy is in the country illegally, but if you were not in love with him, I doubt that you would have consented for both of you to live together. Evidently, you were not ready to have a child.
But, how did he purposely get you pregnant? Were you sleeping when he had unprotected sex with you? Were you so tired that you did not know what was going on? Did he bore a hole in the condom? What really hap-pened?
The issue is what are you going to do now? The guy is behaving as if he doesn't care. You are not under any obli-gation to marry him. If you believe that he is using you to get legal status in America and if you do not love him, bring an end to this relationship. He is a liar and liars cannot be trusted.
