WHEN A 17-YEAR-old student and his stepfather appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on charges of carnal abuse for the second time, the young man had his bail extended and his stepfather was remanded into custody.
Between October 2005 and February 2006 it is alleged that the youngster had sex with his 15-year-old stepsister and the complainant's stepfather also had sex with her more than once during the period.
The youngster is from a prominent high school and represented Jamaica at the junior level in athletics.
When the men appeared before Resident Magistrate Desiree Alleyne on Monday, she extended his bail of $100,000 and remanded the stepfather until June 12, when the case will again be mentioned.
