Cops continue search for suspects in ammo find

BY ARTHUR GREEN, STAR Writer

st. thomas

THE ST. THOMAS police are continuing their investigations into a major ammunition find in Yallahs on Monday.

It is understood that shortly after 5 a.m, a police party, including members of Operation Kingfish, went to a premises in Hamstead, in the parish, where they found some 151 rounds of assorted ammunition. No arrests were made.

A police source told THE WEEKEND STAR that while it would have been ideal to take in person or persons in connection with the find, they were satisfied with removing what are potentially death instruments from the streets. He said the police would remain relentless in the search for anything that would give any indication as to who are responsible for the stash.
