'Pimps' to know fate next week

THE TWO MEN charged with procuring a 14-year-old girl to become a prostitute, will have to wait until next Friday for the preliminary enquiry into their case, to begin.

The men appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday, the original date of the enquiry, but because the file was incomplete, the matter was put for a new date.

Both men, Agon Stephens and Narcot Graham, have pleaded not guilty to the charges of trafficking a child, procuring a girl to become a prostitute, procuring a girl to leave her usual place of residence for her to frequent a hotel for the purpose of prostitution, benefiting from the earnings of prostitution and conspiracy to procure a girl to become a prostitute.

The men are accused of attempting to sell the girl for US$400 to an undercover police man for the purpose of sex.
