No lawyer, says accused murderer

MICHAEL MCLEAN, THE man accused of murdering six members of one family in St. Thomas, again told the court that he had no lawyer, when he appeared before RM Georgianna Frazer in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

McLean has made several appearances in court since his arrest earlier this year, all the while proclaiming that he did not need legal aid, but still not having a lawyer. When he appeared in court on Thursday, RM Frazer told him to have a lawyer when he returned on July 14.

McLean is charged with the February 26 murders of Patrice George-McCool, 28; Sean Chin, Jr, nine; Lloyd Marshall George McCool, three; Jihad George McCool, seven; Jesse OÕGilvie, nine; and Terry-Ann Mohammed, 40, all of Duhaney Pen, St. Thomas.
