Damar Smith (7th), Adeka Rickman (40th) and Romaine Bryan (42nd) scored for Cumberland while Derux Brown (17th) and Sanjay Williams (80th) replied for Hamilton Gardens.
Cumberland scored as early as the seventh minute when playmaker Dalan Gibb's floating corner kick from the left side beat an out-of-position Hamilton Gardens goalkeeper Omar Harley as Smith rushed to the far post and headed into an empty net.
The equaliser came via Brown who netted during a melee in front of the Cumberland goal 10 minutes later. The lead was however restored by Rickman who fired home from close range on the stroke of half time.
Cumberland extended their lead two minutes into the second half when Bryan's long range free kick dipped under the cross-bar and into the back of the net.
Hamilton Gardens' Williams scored in the final minute of play to complete the scoring but it was a goal that came a little to late.
At the end of the match Senator Arthur Williams presented the captain of Cumberland, Mark Marsh, with the trophy as his teammates cheered in the background.
Meanwhile this match marks a tremendous feat for Cumber-land's coach Orville Taylor because this is the third title he has won at the youth level in the Sunshine City. The previous two were attained while he coached Passagefort United to U-15 and U-17 titles in the year 2000.
Coach Taylor was truly delighted with the victory. He said he believed in the talent of his boys and they came through for him.
Hamilton Gardens' coach Oyinco McTaggart was on the other hand disappointed with his goalkeeper, Omar Hartley who in his view cost his team the match. "We didn't execute the game plan. The goalkeeper had a poor game and that cost us the match; we just have to try back next year."
