A MAN ACCUSED of having frequent sexual intercourse with his 14-year-old daughter will remain in custody as he was denied bail in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court.
On Friday when the case was mentioned, a return date was set for July 17.
The court is awaiting an outstanding medical and other vital documents to be placed on file before a preliminary enquiry can begin.
Allegations are that the man has been having sexual intercourse with his daughter since December last year. The last time they had sex was on June 2 this year.
The child subsequently told her aunt who in turn told the child's mother. The matter was reported to the police and the accused was arrested later the same month.
Further allegations are that the child was taken to the doctor where it was confirmed that she was pregnant. The pregnancy was, however, terminated as the child was suffering from a medical condition and the pregnancy was seen as life threatening. The child reported that her father had sex with her at least three times per week.
