THE MAN CHARGED, along with Rodney 'Bounty Killer' Pryce's domestic helper for stealing money from the entertainer, received bail of $1 million when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.
Howard Robinson was charged with simple larceny after he allegedly withdrew the stolen funds from domestic helper Karen Frances' account. He pleaded not guilty.
Resident Magistrate Paula Blake-Powell granted him bail with one, two or three sureties, a stop order was made and he was ordered to surrender his travel documents. He is also to report to the Glengoffe Police Station on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. The case will be mentioned on August 3.
The allegations are that on May 17 and 18, Frances removed, US$9,000 and J$30,000 from a black bag in Pryce's room and at some point lodged it in her account. The matter was later reported to the police.
Frances, who worked with Pryce for over a year, pleaded, guilty to the charges and said she would repay him. Her sentencing was rescheduled to July 20. She was remanded in custody.
