Higgler charged with sexual assault remanded

A man who is alleged to have raped a 17-year-old girl will have the case continued in September.

It is alleged that Kevin Nembhard, a higgler from Kingston, asked the complainant to accompany him to a house where he sexually assaulted her and told her that it was not rape.

According to the court files he told her not believe rumours that he is an area leader.

The complainant reportedly told him that it was rape after which he took her back to the house and further assaulted her.

Nembhard was remanded in custody.
