Dear Pastor,
I am 17 years old. I have been with this guy for three months in Jamaica. I have now moved to America and it's difficult not to think about him. We talk on the phone almost every week. He says that he wants to marry me, but I don't think its right for us to be getting married.
We are far apart and we don't know much about each other. I told him he can move on if he wants, but he doesn't. I really love him, but I think I need to know him better. I can't do that over the phone and I don't know when I will be back to Jamaica. I need a future and after I graduate from high school, I will be going to college. He is fine with that, but I don't want to hurt his feelings if I meet someone else and fall in love.
What should I do?

Dear K.A.,
Concentrate on your lessons. Think about a career. Without a good education, it is difficult for anybody to cope. You can always lose with a man, but not on a good education. Keep this man in your heart, but don't allow his thoughts to saturate your entire being. You are very young and you do not know what the future holds for you. Keep him as a friend and if it is God's will that both of you should get together everything will work out just right. My prayers are with you.
