THE STAR Character search

It's your chance to be a star in the STAR as we hunt for characters for our new short story coming soon in Jamaica's number one newspaper.

Of course, you, our most faithful Star readers, do remember our last Star story where, for the first time, some of you were the stars of the 'show'.

We have been getting entries, but we still need persons for some of the characters.

Mrs. Rose Dixon

Tall 5'9'', elegant, light-skinned woman in her 40s, pretty, manicured, with the school teacher's look of authority.

Mr. Mark Dixon

Medium height, shorter than his wife maybe 5' 6'', dark skinned, slightly overweight, bearded, in his late 40s with a sprinkling of grey hair, 'saaf mouth'.

Dennis Dixon

Seventeen years old, high browning, curly 'good' hair, tall 5' 9'' - 6' good looking 'hot' boy with greyish, green eyes.

Ida

Chocolate-coloured woman in her late 60s, good looking with iron grey hair, small, very erect and proper-looking old lady.

Mr. Planter

Short, balding, stocky man in his late 50s.

Mr. Maxwell

Fatherly-looking clean-shaven gentleman in his 40s.

Copper

Eighteen-19-year old, St. Elizabeth 'red complexion' with kinky red hair.

Deidre

Sixteen-year-old, shapely, very pretty, braids or long hair.

Sample

Black man in his early 30s, thug characteristics, i.e. gold tooth, scar in face, screw face, etc. Must have hair in corn rows or creamed and can be plaited into corn rows.

Ralphie's Mother

Fat Indian woman in her 30s.
