Cuba, Haiti and Martinique will be joined together along with Suriname for the second round of qualifying for the Digicel Caribbean Cup and CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifying, the toughest of the three regional four-team groups.
In the groups announced yesterday by CONCACAF, surprise second-round qualifier Guadeloupe were placed with Antigua and Barbuda, the Dominican Republic and Guyana while Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda and St. Vincent and the Grenadines were combined in the other group.
Two teams from each group advance to the Caribbean Cup finals in Trinidad set for January 31-February 11, the third round of qualifying for the Gold Cup.
The third-place teams from each second-round group will move to a play-off round in December to determine the final side for the eight-team Caribbean Cup finals.
Three teams from the Caribbean qualify for the Gold Cup finals in June.
