Dear Pastor,
I am hoping that you can give me some advice. I am a Jamaican living in Canada, but my baby's father lives in Jamaica. Since my daughter has been born, she has not seen her father and he has not seen her. She is now almost 10 months old. I don't know what to do because I want them to know each other. We do not have any money at this moment so we are unable to visit Jamaica. I wanted him to see her before she reached one year old because I will be going back to school. He already has a career. Now it's my turn to have one. He is in the Jamaican army. We are also engaged. We have been together for six years now. I am 19 years old and he is 22.
Pastor, please I'm begging you, tell me what to do. I love him and I want us to be a family, but I don't know how to make that happen.
K.S., Canada
Dear K.S.,
You do not have any money to bring your child to Jamaica. If this man wants you to come, he should send you tickets. On the other hand, if he is able to get as visa to visit Canada, he should do so. If he is unable to get a visa, perhaps his relatives can help him to buy tickets for you and the child to come to Jamaica. If none of the above is feasible, pray and ask God to sustain you until you are able to buy tickets to come to Jamaica
