A man accused of banging the head of his child's mother on a wall, pulling her hair and hitting her with stones, pleaded not guilty when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
The allegations against Emmanuel White are that on October 29, the complainant went to the accused man's home to visit their child. An argument developed, and the complainant was reportedly hit in the right side with a stone and had her head banged against the wall, causing pain and swelling.
When they appeared before Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey, White, a 26-year-old handyman of a Kingston 11 address, told the court that he did not touch the complainant. The complainant however refuted this, telling the court, "Im hold me in mi hair, lick my head against the wall and used a stone to hit me in my side and on my foot."
White's bail was extended to November 8, when the case will be tried in the night court.
