The St. James man accused of hacking his wife to death last month before dumping her body parts in another parish, will remain in custody until December 20.
During Aston Campbell's appearance in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court, on Wednesday, attorney-at-law Sean Reynolds said he is reserving the bail application pending the completion of the case file.
The 42-year-old accountant of Porto Bello Heights in St. James reportedly confessed to killing his 43-year-old wife, Carol Campbell.
It is said that the Campbells lived in the same house, despite being separated about six years ago.
Allegations are that the couple had an argument on November 18, during which Mr. Campbell used a machete to hit his wife on the head.
She was left unconscious and he allegedly used the weapon to severe her head, hands and feet.
Further allegations are that the body parts were wrapped into two packages and placed in the trunk of his car.
He is alleged to have driven to Lucea Primary School in Hanover where he threw the head, hands and feet in the female pit latrine at the school and the torso placed in an idle incinerator on the compound.
