Jamaica Cricket Assoc-iation's (JCA) operation officer Brian Breese suffered a mild heart attack on Saturday night and has been hospitalised.

According to reports, Breese was in attendance at the Jamaica Cricket Umpires Association (JCUA) annual awards dinner at the Hilton Kingston hotel where he brought greetings on behalf of the JCA.

The heart attack occurred shortly after Breese returned to his seat.

Breese, the father of Gareth Breese, who played a single Test for the West Indies, had previously held the position of CEO in the JCA.

He is being treated at the University Hospital of the West Indies.
