Alexander Anderson, who was wanted for rape and murder, was killed by gunmen on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old was wanted for his alleged involvement in the rape of a 12 -year-old girl on January 21.
The girl went to visit a friend on Hagley Park Road when the accused along with other men raped her.
Later in the year, on November 10, Raymond Hinds of 5a Nyrere Close, Kingston 11 was sitting on a sidewalk near his business place when a white station wagon motor car drove up with Anderson and two other men. They opened fire hitting Hinds all over his body.
Hinds succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
The men escaped. At the time of his death, Anderson was also wanted for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
However, on Wednesday at approximately 4:40 a.m. he was killed in a shoot-out with gunmen in Red Wood District an area in the St. Andrew South police division.
The Hunts Bay police are investigating.
