Cumberland extend lead

Portmore-based Cumberland are four points clear atop the Candon-Enterprise St Catherine Division One Football League standings after a 1-0 victory over fellow Sunshine City team Southboro on Saturday.

Damion Fuller scored Cumberland's goal in the third minute of play, pushing his team to 15 points, four clear of a trio of clubs, namely, Braeton United (11), Flamingo (11) and Police (11).

The top four teams are followed by Travellers ,10, Old Harbour bay All-star, nine, Spring Village eight and McCook's Pen eight.

In games played on Sunday Police beat Spring Village 3-1, Old Harbour Bay All-Stars got by Travellers 3-1 and Flamingo shared the points with Hope View in a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, in the Juiciful St Catherine Major League DB Basovak and Tru-Juice are in a tense battle for the title.

Joint leaders DB Basovak, on 16 points clipped Bodles 1-0, while Tru Juice also on 16 points, had a 2-1 win over Waterloo.

In other games, Central Links tagged Albion 2-0, and Rodwood and Meadows drew 2-2.
