Twelve murders in St James so far

As the police struggle to arrest St. James' crime situation, the bloodletting continues and has resulted in twelve murders since the start of this year.
The latest victim has been identified as 36-year-old Howard Anthony Kerr of a Westgate Hills address in Montego Bay.
Kerr was reportedly shot and killed by a gunman at Bogue Village in St. James yesterday.
Reports are that about 2: 30 p.m. Kerr was walking in the community, when a man walked up to him and pulled a gun. He was hit in the head and left hand.
Earlier at about 8 a.m. the body of Cedric Stennett, a 28-year-old farmer, was found along a road in Cambridge, St. James.
Reports are that Stennett, who resided at Lapland district, Catadupa in the parish was walking along the Belfort main road when gunmen opened fire on him.
On Monday night, investigators were at another scene of a gun murder, this time on Bread Lane in Paradise, Norwood.
Unknown assailants shot Jerome 'Gully' Morgan, a 23-year-old labourer, as he walked along a dirt track in the area. Morgan died on the spot.
A total of 178 persons died violently in St. James last year.
