Executed:5 killed in mobster style attack

Fabian Ledgister
Staff Reporter

Five men were killed, execution style, by a gunman at 13 Church Road in Bog Walk, St. Catherine, this morning. Police say the men were made to lie down on their stomachs and shot in the back of their heads. One of the victims attempted to flee, but was gunned down in his attempt to preserve his life.

Dead are Carlton 'Rosewell' Brown, 45, of Deeside district (St. Catherine), Neville 'Shabba' Davis, 29, of Wonder Lane (Bog Walk), Leslie 'Lloyd Mowatt' McPherson, 45, of Wonder Lane, and two other men only identified as 'Peter Reds' and 'Maxi-money.'

All men died on the spot.

The incident occurred shortly after 1 a.m., wherein the men who were at a gambling table, were surprised by the armed man. They were ordered to lie 'face down', and four of the men shot in the back of the head. The man only identified as 'Maxi-money' tried to escape, but was cut down in a hail of bullets. Four 9mm spent shells were recovered at the scene.

no motive established

Head of the Bog Walk Police Station, Inspector Neville Whitely, assured swift and thorough investigations into this heinous quintuple murder. "No motive has yet been established, but the police are intensely probing the matter. We are asking anyone with information that can assist investigations to contact the Bog Walk police (708-2081), or the St. Catherine police," said Ins. Whitely.

Although police have not yet established a motive for the executions, sources indicate that the killer professed something to the effect of, "getting even", before committing his evil deed.
