Messages carved on bamboo at Bamboo Walk, Holland Bamboo, in St. Elizabeth. - Ricardo Makyn PHOTOS

I know most of you might be wondering about this week's images of carvings by individuals and couples either leaving a love note or maybe a positive message for anyone passing through Holland Bamboo, St Elizabeth.

When I stopped there to get a cool drink of coconut water from a very pleasant vendor and noticed all these messages carved into the bamboo, what really struck me was that it seemed hard seeing all these messages and not wanting to join in.

It made me wonder what these individuals were experiencing and feeling when they made these carvings. Maybe I'll never know, but seeing these messages made my day.
