Dear Pastor,
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to write. I enjoy reading your column. I am writing to tell the Jamaicans who rob the tourists when they visit Jamaica, to stop. I recently had an experience while I was in St. Mary attending a concert. The rental car vehicle that I had was broken into and every item that was left in the car was stolen.
It was really a terrible and frightening experience. The situation got even worse when we tried to report the incident to the police. This experience surely left a sour taste in our mouths about Jamaican people. I am sure that it is not all Jamaicans who are robbers, but as the saying goes, 'when one does wrong everyone gets the blame'.
There is so much negative talk about visiting Jamaica and it appears that the natives are living up to that talk. Once again thank you for allowing me to voice my thoughts.

Dear S. S.,
I am sorry to learn that you were robbed while on a visit to Jamaica. Unfortunately, people get robbed from time to time in different countries but that does not mean that when it happens in Jamaica we should not be ashamed. On behalf of all hardworking and honest Jamaicans, I apologise to you and I ask that you would report this incident to the Jamaica Tourist Board.
