It was extremely difficult to choose a winner for the 'Just Awesome Competition' for the month of February.
But after much debate, we decided to award $10,000 each to Hugh Williams topping the scenery/nature category, and Garnet Lopez for his outstanding entry in the people/humour section.
Now that we have chosen our winners for February, the competition is on again for the entries for March.
Each month, THE STAR will be giving away $10,000 for what we consider the best pictures in the scenery/nature and people/humour categories.

The Just Awesome competition has been going on for more than six months now and already we have awarded more than $100,000 to persons who have found themselves in the winners' circle. Here are some of the persons who walked away with cash prizes.

Gleaner's St. Ann Correspondent, Devon Evans, presents Yannie Wong, the winner of 'the Star's' Just Awesome competition for January with her cheque for $10,000 and a framed copy of her prize-winning photograph. The presentation was made at the Gleaner's office in Ocho Rios, St. Ann.
