Dear Pastor,

I am a young woman who is very close to God. I read my Bible every day and keep God's word through Christ who strengthens me. My problem is that I have not been able to find a 'good Christian man.' I have encountered men who claim to be followers of God, but such people honour the Lord with their lips, yet their hearts are far from Him.

What should I do as a single Christian woman? I am waiting on the Lord and on your reply.

Dear J. T.,

I can only encourage you to keep on waiting on the Lord. You said that you are very close to Him. He knows your needs, so He will give you the desires of your heart. I hope men are not going to call me and ask for your name and address because frankly, I don't know you and I do not have the time to respond to men who may wish to correspond with you.

Bad experience

Experience has taught me that many times when letters of this nature are published, many men who claim to be Christians write or call for the names of the writers and many of these men don't speak the truth. So let it be known now that I can't help you to find a man.

Come to think about it, you really didn't ask me to find someone for you. You were only stating your concern and desire. Therefore, I repeat, in God's own time He may give you a man.
