Investigators looking into the death of Pakistan cricket coach, Bob Woolmer intend to interview and fingerprint all persons who were at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel at the time he died.
Mark Shields, Deputy Commis-sioner of Police said at the conference that the investigators were undertaking this as it was important in eliminating all possibilities. "The Pakistan team were interviewed and fingerprinted ... And it is the same for everybody who was in the hotel during that time. Even if they don't go to the floor it is important we eliminate everybody," he said.
This is part of an extensive
investigation being done into the murder of the coach who died last Sunday after being found unconscious in his hotel room. The police last week said he had died from asphyxia as a result of manual strangulation.
The police are also going through CCTV footage of activities on the 12th floor were Woolmer stayed. In addition, Woolmer's computer has been seized and is being checked for any possible clues.
Several motives including match fixing are being pursued by the police who have been tight-lipped about most of them. The Inter-national Cricket Council (ICC) has also launched a probe into this area.
DCP Shields also appealed once again for witnesses who were in the hotel or know anything about the death to come forward.
