G Maffiah, otherwise known, as Ian Ramsay describes himself as a very humble and
talented artiste.
He says he always had an
interest in music, beginning at the tender age of seven, while singing in church.
As he grew older so did his
confidence in performing and from then on, music was what he
wanted to do full time.
"Well I first started working with Jammy's that was back in 1995, there I recorded my first single," Maffiah said. The name of that
single is What Is Badness.
After working with Jammy's for a while his pursuits then led him to Dillon Reid of Manatee Records who was impressed with his lyrical audacity and rushed him to the studios to record two tracks Money Haffi Mek and Saturday Night both of which did well.
G Maffiah then went on to work with producers like Snow Cone, Lady G, Mickey John of Lion Paw Production, Power Mix Records Entertainment in New York, 'Kingston 6 Rekords' and King Jammys.
After the release of Elephant Man's single Crazy Hype, G Maffiah formerly known as 'Krayzie Hype' had to change his name due to people confusing him with the dancer.
G Maffiah is not just gifted in singing but also at writing, and this has led him to work with other popular artistes such as Macka Diamond, Queen Paula, Mad Anju, Lady G and Red Rose. He has also performed on several major events both locally and internationally in the Bahamas, Con-necticut, New York, Orlando and New Jersey.
G Maffiah is currently in studios recording singles and has recently released three new songs entitled Bagga Noise, Rise It and Money Can't Buy Me Love with Tony Curtis.
