Starting next Monday, THE STAR will be running its new and exciting short story called 'The Sun Also Rises' and we want you to be a part of the entire experience. Before you can do that, however, we invite you to learn about another of our characters from the story.
The short story is about Rose Dixon, a mother and a teacher struggling to raise a wayward son while being forced to put up with a cheating and abusive husband who no longer loves her and shows it in every way. She also has to put up with a nagging though well-meaning mother.
The story has many twists and turns and although Rose is well intentioned, Rose cannot prevent a series of events from happening.
As you already know, the action begins on Monday with Rose's son Dennis finding himself in serious trouble. The story then moves to conversations between Mark and Rose. But, telling you anything else would be repeating ourselves and also giving the story away. So, starting on Monday we guarantee you that all your questions will be answered.
In addition, when the story ends, we will talk to other cast members, writers and director Rosie Murray. You can also be a part of the experience by sending us your feedback to star@gleanerjm.com or sending a short text message about the story to 467-2165. NO calls will be accepted on this number.
