Three students of the Santa Cruz Primary and Junior High School in St. Elizabeth were hospitalised following a motor vehicle accident on the school compound this morning.
The students, two boys and a girl, were hit by a motor car driven by the vice principal of the school.
It is alleged that sometime after 6 a.m., the vice principal entered the school and collided into the metal gate, then proceeded to hit down the students.
An eyewitness said when she entered the school yard, she saw the children and she blew the car horn and the students ran in the path of the car.
Following checks, it was revealed that one of the students received a cut and another was said to be in a stable condition at the Black River Hospital. The third students has been transferred to the Mandeville Hospital.
When THE STAR visited the school about 10 a.m., the teachers were tight-lipped and refused to give the media information on what occurred earlier in the morning.
