Two selectors go solo after years of service. Lil Richie from Swatch International and Richie Feelings from Stone Love are pursuing new goals.

Richard Campbell a.k.a 'Lil Richie' who had been with Swatch International for seven years is no longer affiliated with the sound. According to Campbell, the sound gave him the opportunity to leave when persons from the sound were going around saying he was no longer associated with them.

Jealousy

He says: "some elder members on the sound seh dem nah get exposure. So a likkle jealousy arise, cause I keep getting recognised and people having events and putting me on their flyers. It's a whole problem with management and staff." Campbell claims the basic problem stemmed from him being on the flyers of others as a special guest selector and working solely with Swatch's booking dates.

While Lil Richie is out and ready to start new avenues, he claims he still misses some of the persons on the sound that he has playing alongside for so long. "A mi bring some a dem yutes on di sound, mi go miss dem. But mi know mi have the power to tek the road. Me and some yutes from the 'Rich Squad' tekking the road," he said. Lil Richie is currently planning his launch party at the Asylum for tentatively the second Thursday in June.

For Richie Feelings who has been with Stone Love for five and a half years, his parting is to pursue higher heights, but he is not breaking ties with Stone Love. "It's no animosity ting; Weepow and I have an understanding. He says I'm of a calibre of selector that I can go out on my own, him nah hold me back," Feelings said.

According to Feelings, he is an entertainer and wants to pursue other business avenues such as forming his own studio. At present, Feelings has in the works as a selector two new riddims, one of which is called 'eye water' .
