Member of Parliament Robert Pickersgill conducted reading sessions in four schools in his constituency of north west St. Catherine on Tuesday, May 8, which was designated "Read Across Jamaica Day".

The schools included Linstead Primary and Junior High, Lluidas Vale All-Age, Time and Patience All-Age and Pollyground Primary.

Reports suggest that the exercise was a worthwhile one for both students and presenter.

Mr. Pickersgill who holds the portfolios of Transport, Energy, Water and Works in the People's National Party government, was a former teacher.
