The lead story in yesterday's STAR was indeed a very disturbing one.
The story broke the news of a man who was allegedly preying on schoolgirls and trying to get them involved in pornographic films and projects. This he did by telling them that he could make them into stars and that they would be paid a lot of money.
When a member of the STAR team contacted the man in an undercover effort to find out more, he explained that he was involved in the sex-selling business and that he offered various sexual favours for a range of prices.
The story also mentioned that the man told the schoolgirls to accompany him to the bathroom so he could get to examine their private parts more closely. The girls reportedly went with him. In recent times, there have been several stories about young girls engaging in risky sexual behaviour. What is most disturbing about this trend is that most, if not all, of these girls are still in school.
Behaviour such as this represents almost a total loss of values among young girls. They seem to have no self-respect and engage in questionable activities without even thinking about the consequences or implications.
Too much foreign influence has been allowed into our culture and it seems as if these young girls are attempting to emulate the behaviour they see on cable television.
