Several residents of Marlie Mount near Old Harbour have joined other residents
in complaining about the terrible road condition in their
community.
A STAR team was taken to
sections of the community, such as Port View Avenue, Shereman Crescent, Begonia Crescent and Hibiscus Drive, where there were several large craters in the road. Residents claim that these are the conditions they have lived with for several years and they need a change.
"Bwoy, sometimes I have to change front end all three times a month due to the bad road condition and nuhbaddy naw fix it," remarked Garfield Smykle, a
driver who takes children to the Marlie Mount Primary School.
Several other residents uttered similar sentiments and added that the poor road condition is made worst whenever it rains, as there is no proper drainage network.
The situation is no better along the Cromarty main road, or in Duncan's Pen, Hampton Green, Ensom City, Eltham View and other areas around Spanish Town, as they all have one thing in
common, poor road condition.
