It took the effort of police personnel, on Tuesday, to escort a group of men from a community after they were accused of being homosexuals.
This occurred along Mahoe Drive in Sydenham, St. Catherine, when at about 4:30 p.m., police personnel had to escort the men, who have become 'public enemy number one' in the community. They were allegedly warned not to return.
"Lawd, mi glad sey dem gaan, a pure dark car dem drive cum ya and wen de police search weh dem use to live dem find several wigs, ooman tights and other underwear, dem affi lef yah," remarked a woman.
The men were whisked away while the curious onlookers jeered. Meanwhile, the Spanish Town Police told THE STAR that the killing on Monday night of Nathaniel Fowler, a haulage contractor, was as a result of him going there with his truck to move the men out. He was said to have been mistaken for one of them and he was shot and killed at about 9 p.m.
A senior detective said that a thorough investigation is now on to find those responsible for the murder of the 29-year-old man.
