A wool over our eyes

Bob Woolmer - file

THE EDITOR, Sir:

First, my sympathy goes out to the family and friends of former Pakistan cricket coach, the late Bob Woolmer.

Two Gleaner reports, dated May 7 and 8, penned a very confusing report on Mr. Woolmer's death, giving the reading public an 'Agatha Christie mystery' to think about.

The two Pakistani investigators who visited Jamaica recently claimed that there is no clear evidence that Woolmer was murdered.

But on the contrary, our own Jamaican police are maintaining that he was strangled.

The pathologist's autopsy showed that Mr. Woolmer died from asphyxiation. We all hope the Scotland Yard analysis will bring the truth.

I am, etc.,

Baldwin Collins
