Tips towards economic sustainment

The Editor Sir,

In order to sustain our economy, there are a number factors that the Government should take into consideration.

A large number of persons gamble, so to get something back, the Lotto should be 'run' by the people for the people. The government should be in control of it.

Same goes for toll fees. They should go towards fixing roads, especially farm roads and tracks, so those growing produce can get them to the markets.

The trailers are destroying the roads and should be charged more to get their road licences. There should also be a three month check on their road worthiness as too many of them are unsafe on the roads. So many persons buy many of these vehicles that should be scrapped or sold.

I am, etc.,

D. Jacks
