Sign artist caught with illegal gun

One more illegal weapon was taken from the streets on Tuesday night by police from the Hunts Bay CIB.

At about 10:25 p.m. the police, acting on information, went to a premises along Mimosa Avenue, Kingston 11. A man seen in a room was searched and a .38 chrome Smith and Wesson revolver taken from his waist.

Charged with illegal possession of firearm is Wayne Dwight Alphanso Martin, a 37-year-old sign artist from a Mimosa Avenue address.

The Hunts Bay police are investigating.
