Several persons in Portmore claim the area is once again abuzz with nightlife and other entertainment activities, such as karaoke and clubbing.
THE PORTMORE STAR took to the street and found karaoke in high gear at Caymanas Gardens and also at Matthis Bar near the traffic lights on Passagefort Drive. Both events were abuzz with several persons taking their 'bathroom voices' to entertain the massive crowd that turned out.
Not to be outdone, new kid on the block, Club Roam, along Port Henderson Road, has a magnificent package, beginning with a Monday karaoke which ends with their 'Dirty Mondays' dance. According to managing director, Altie, the aim of the activities is to hone the craft of several talents that remain unused in and around the Portmore community.
"We want to keep them inside of Portmore, as for too long, they have to be travelling all the way to Kingston, Montego Bay, and is only thePortmore Star Search that is able to help these talents. We intend to change that," he said.
Several persons told THE PORTMORE STAR that they are glad about the karaoke and other entertainment happenings in the municipality.
