Head found with fish hook in tongue

The head of a male found by the police in Farm, Clarendon, on Thursday afternoon, with a fish hook in the tongue, has been identified as that of George Grant, 31-year-old labourer of the said community.

Reports are that about 8:30 p.m., the police were at a crime scene when they spotted a bag. This bag was checked and the gruesome discovery was made.

Several lawmen told THE STAR that Farm, where the head was found, has been a trouble spot for some time.

"For some time now we have been having problems with that area, and it is sad that it has reached this stage," remarked CCN Officer Constable Camay Tracey.

Several residents of the area told THE STAR that it was really a sad day in the community despite the level of violence that has been taking place. They said Grant was a peaceful person and were did not know why he was killed.

The police have since launched an investigation into the matter. - R.T.
