The settling in process for the many 'students' at Weekenz, Constant Spring Road was successful when they came for their 'Orientation' last Friday.
The 'hip' party Orientation had many 'students' representing several high schools from across the Corporate Area, and beyond its boundaries dancing wildly as the night wore on to a climax.
The atmosphere and sight inside the venue was pleasing, especially in the earlier part of the proceedings. The females were given a chance to take the video light from their male counterparts. It was a sight to behold, especially when the flickering light inside the venue shone on their bodies as they gyrated.
The selector was fully aware of this and used songs such as Aidonia's Ukku Bit, Vybz Kartel's Wine Pon Yuh and Beenie Man's Back It Up not only to whet musical appetites, but also to dictate the motion of the females' waistline. The intoxicating blend of sexually charged lyrics, the video light and the ever influential alcoholic beverages had the females going on wild.
This trend diminished as the party matured with time. Lots of khakis were now hogging the spotlight and the female dancers were pushed into the crevices of the venue.
Saviour
Selector Jigsy was to be the saviour. When he took over the turntables at about 2:30 a.m. he sent several of these video flocking men ducking for cover. "Tight pants khaki bwoy, Jigsy waan 'k...' unnu. Bleach out face students mi nuh waan si unnu," he exclaimed as his hilarious comments hit hard restructuring the general layout of the venue. The video light hungry male 'students' were now more keen on properly ascertaining their true position, either dancing with a female or as Vegas warned: Tek Whey Yuh Self."
The Coppershot selectors who were next were well coordinated behind the turntables and had the patrons dancing up a storm. Razz, from the duo Razz & Biggy, was also a crowd favourite. He managed to get a lot of forwards teasing the patrons with lyrics from THE STAR's Artiste of the Month, Munga Honourable, and Mavado. Richie Feelings also generated a hype. His dance oriented set was greeted by a seemingly choreographed reaction on the dance floor as the 'students' danced up a storm.
The highlight of Orientation is usually the attire and this year it remained the number one talked about subject. Most females wore mini skirts with breast hugging blouses that left little to the imagination. The male students wore their usual khaki attire with their ties to represent. School nurses, headmistress and teachers were also scantily attired.
Addi Di Teacha was introduced to the stage and the orientation process hit overdrive during his 15-minute sex-laced session. He spent most of his time on stage under the female students' skirts - lyrically.
The party climaxed when a female 'student' grabbed the microphone from the Teacha and blurted out: "Addi mi love yuh. Mi woulda f..k yuh right now."
Another year, another fabulous orientation process that was pleasing to all the 'students'. After all there were no rules in place.
