An illegal firearm was seized in Oliver Garden, May Pen, Clarendon on Monday and two men arrested in connection with the find.

Charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition are 21-year-old Marvin Jonas and Shemar Maithland both of Oliver Garden.

Police reports are that at 5:30 p.m., an operation was carried out in the area. During the exercise, a residence was searched. The search yielded a home-made gun and two 9mm cartridges. The two men who were at the premises were arrested and charged. They are to appear in the Clarendon Gun Court tomorrow. The May Pen police are investigating.
