spanish town

A 46-year-old St. Catherine man, accused of gross indecency and harbouring juveniles, was remanded when he appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court recently.

Allegations say that the accused kept two boys ages 13 and 14 respectively. On June 24, one of the boys reported to a pastor that the accused has been sexually molesting him.

police notified

The pastor then took that boy to the accused's house where another boy was also found and a similar argument was made. The police were called in.

According to the investigative officer Detective Corporal Kirk Roache, the boys informed the police that the accuse would force them to perform oral sex on him and at least two other men and that when they refused they were beaten. He continued that his investigation revealed that the accused sells in the Linstead area and that his approach is to look for boys who are in need of care and put them in his place and molest them.

blames juveniles

The RM ordered that a further investigation must be done and the police agreed that at least two more boys who were said to be involved with the accused being sought along with another male. When the accused pleaded he told the court that he was not guilty. It was also revealed that the accused told the police that it was the boys who force him to commit the act. He was subsequently remanded.
