12 teams to contest Racing Fraternity Football League

Twelve teams will contest the 2007 CTL/McKay Security-sponsored Racing Fraternity Football League which commences on Sunday, July 22 at Ironside playfield in Gregory Park, close to the Caymanas Park racetrack.

An opening ceremony at 3:00 p.m. will precede the first match. The participating teams are as follows: Caymanas Track Limited (CTL), Owners, Trainers, Jockeys, Grooms, Agents, Blacksmiths, Exercise Riders, Landscaping, JRC/BGL&C, Racing Link and Security.

They will be divided into two zones following the draw at a general meeting next Tuesday morning in the Trainers' Room at Caymanas Park, starting at 10:30 a.m.

Each team is requested to send two representatives to this meeting.

Both competitions will run concurrently for the next two months and matches will be of 40-minute duration. There will be a semi-final and final in the league towards the end of September.

The competitions took a break last year and racing personnel are eagerly awaiting their return. CTL won both competitions in 2005.
