THE STAR's short story 'The Sun Also Rises' has now ended and as promised, we have given you feedback from the public. Now, we will allow you to meet some of the people who were key in making this project possible. Today, we interview photographer Anthony Minott.
STAR: How long have you been doing photography?
AM: I've been doing it five years now professionally, but I started using a point and shoot two years; before that taking pictures of people and nature.
STAR: Was this your experience, working with models in a story?
AM: I've shot models before but this is the first I've actually done one with people doing a story, so it was good.
STAR: How did you find the experience during the shooting of The Sun Also Rises?
AM: It was kinda fascinating because I learnt to work with people of different characters. But Rosie Murray was an inspiration and she was full of vibes, so she really motivated me. Working with her was really good and fun.
STAR: What was your most difficult shot?
AM: The most difficult one turned out to be the best one. That would be the one in the passage way (Episodes 42 and 43), because there was a lot of people and I had to get everybody, so it was difficult to shoot. Also, I had a wide-angle lens, but I was able to pull it off. What really helped, though, was the actors who put a lot of life in the photos.
STAR: Who were your favourite characters?
AM: I would say between Dennis and Rose. I think Rose was shy in the beginning and it took a lot from Rosie to get her going, but Dennis was good. I think he is a natural. I think they both can go a far way, especially Dennis.
