The first semi-final of the Racing Fraternity League KO is scheduled for next Tuesday at the Ironside playfield, Gregory Park, starting at 4:00 p.m.

After several rounds of matches, only four teams were left standing in the knockout competition, CTL, Grooms, Exercise Riders and Racing Link.

In the first semis on Tuesday, CTL will oppose Racing Link, then on Thursday, Grooms and Exercise Riders will face off at Ironside in the other semi-final.

When the knockout matches continued on Monday, Blacksmiths defeated agents 4-2, thanks to a brace from Peter Dixon, along with two defenders goal. Dave Rambally and Silbert Sharpe replied for the losers in the 28th and 33rd minutes.

In Monday's second match, Exercise Riders clipped Jockeys 1-0, courtesy of a late goal from Omar Murray.

On Tuesday, CTL beat Trainers 2-0, thanks to goals from Curtis Dixon and Leroy Alleyne in the 25th and 39th minutes.

In the second match, Grooms, who are unbeaten in both the KO and league, pipped Trainers 1-0 in what was easily the most exciting encounter of the season. Grooms got the winner through Dave Carty in the 18th minute of play.

On Thursday, Racing Links beat Owners 4-2 in a penalty shoot-out after both were locked 0-0 at the end of regulation time. And in the second match, Exercise Riders beat Blacksmiths 2-0.

The KO final is scheduled for Thursday, September 27, and the league final, Sunday, September 20, both at Ironside.
