B>The Editor, Sir:
Great one of this entire cosmos, we acknowledge you to be our only source and foundation. We give thanks for our former Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller and whatever good that she has done for this country, and whereas she may have missed the mark, such as having failed the NIS pensioners, we pray that not only will you forgive her, but that she may forgive herself.
Please grant her the grace and serenity to accept that which she cannot change and Lord, do give her a settled peace within her mind, that peace which
passeth all understanding. We thank you for the strength of a woman who has decorated our history as being the first female Prime Minister. Father, we pray that as a loving Father you will continue to watch over her, guide and protect her as she continues to work for this country, and Father God, we do look forward to her biography that will grace the bookshelves and archives of every Jamaican. Portia Simpson Miller, a force to be reckoned with and a role model for all. For all these things, we pray and give thanks in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Precious Father God, we pray for the New Prime Minister Orette Bruce Golding, Jamaica's contemporary, Moses, who took Your children 18 years through the 'political wilderness' and who has now become the chief servant of your people. Bless his humility and multiply his personal blessings and good health. Thank You for the wisdom that You have given him and the dream team that he has put together to run this beautiful country.
For those who would dare to be out of line with guns and all other criminal activities, we pray that You still their hands and minds so that a peace and calm may reign over this entire country, that we may become the jewel of the world, where there is 'zero' corruption, where inventions and cures may abound and there is an abundance of investments and money.
Among all things, we thank You for the unity among all Jamaicans working for the good of the country, irrespective of party, colour, race or creed. Last, but not least, Lord, we thank You for having spared us from the ravishes of 'Dean' and 'Felix'.
Thank You Father for a new wave of blessings on Jamaica, land we love.
Accept our prayer with thanksgiving as we pray, in Jesus' precious name, Amen.
I am, etc.,
E. Williams Reittie
