by Rasbert Turner, Star Writer

spanish town

A Vincentian who over stayed his time in the country appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday to answer to charges of overstaying.

Llewellyn Williams, 53, who claimed that he worked in Tortola, was caught on the Hellshire beach on October 17 by a police party acting on intelligence.

According to the investigating officer Corporal Calvin Allen, about 10 p.m. the police went to the popular beach where Williams was seen.

The court further learnt that when investigations were completed it revealed that he came to Jamaica on August 28 and was given September 27 to go back home, but he did not.

During his appearance a representative from the Commonwealth High Commissioner's office Eric Harper, was given the task to regularise Williams' flight back to his native country. The representative promise to do an interview with the accuse to start the process.
