Trouble comes to antagoniser

by Rasbert Turner, STAR Writer

spanish town

A man, who the police said often intimidated taxi and bus operators, was stabbed several times in Old Harbour on Saturday evening by a man with whom he had a dispute.

Hospitalised is Glen Russell, otherwise called 'Squiddle', of Burke Road in Old Harbour.

Reports are that about 6 o'clock, Russell was seen bleeding from several stab wounds while on the ground. He was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was admitted in a stable condition.

The police said Russell was a trouble-maker who has been causing problems for public passenger vehicle operators.

"That young man is a real trouble- maker and while we do not know who carried out the act, we still have to do some investigations as the person has broken the law," said a sub-officer at the Old Harbour Police Station.

For several months persons have expressed concern about how the 'backup men' treat both commuters and motorists.
