The Meteorological Service said the flash flood warning will remain in place for all parishes until 5:00 p.m. today.
A flash flood warning means that flooding has been reported or will occur shortly. The warning is due to a surface trough induced by Tropical Storm Noel, which is bringing unstable weather conditions across the central Caribbean, including Jamaica. Outbreaks of showers and thunderstorms that affected the island are expected to continue for the next three days.
Fishers and other marine interests are advised to exercise caution owing to deteriorating sea conditions in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms.
