DON'T TRUST MY 'WILD' BOYFRIEND

Dear Pastor,

Congratulations on the good work that you are doing. I am a 19-year-old girl who has been dating a 26-year-old guy for about seven months. I hear people say that he has been sleeping around with a lot of women. I asked him about it and he said he doesn't do that stuff and I am the only one he wants to sleep with. But I just don't know what to do because sometimes it's really hard to believe him because I don't know if he is telling the truth.

What I am really, really scared of is whenever we are having sex we do it unprotected. I am scared that he is going to give me a STD. What should I do?

C. B., Connecticut, USA

Dear C. B.,

You should not have unprotected sex, especially if you have doubts about your partner. In any case, a 19-year-old girl should not be in a hurry to have a child. Therefore, if you must have sex, you should protect yourself.

It is not easy for a girl to know whether the guy is speaking the truth. He may swear on the Bible and say he doesn't have other women, but he may not be speaking the truth. Sometimes it takes years for a girl to find out the truth and by that time, it is too late.

Pastor
