I am trying to get information on how to register a church as a denomination in Jamaica. I also want to obtain a charitable organisation status. I have written to the Prime Minister's Office and also the Ministry of Culture, but I have received no response. I would appreciate if you could help me in obtaining this information.

You can register a church as a company or through Parliament. I suggest therefore that you retain an attorney-at-law in Jamaica who would be in a position to tell you the correct procedures that you should follow.
